Is this a self catering facility?
Yes. This is a self catering facility. Complimentary rusks, coffee, and tea are supplied.
Is breakfast served as part of the stay?
No, breakfast is not served. To help guests on the first morning, some cereal is provided.
Can guests buy their own food and drinks?
Yes. Guests are welcome to purchase their own food and drinks from nearby shops or dine at restaurants in George.
Is this a private household?
Yes. Be at Rest Accommodation forms part of an integrated private household. Guests are asked to respect the family’s privacy as their own is respected.
Who is allowed on the property?
Only paying and booked in guests may access and use the property, rooms, and amenities. No exceptions unless prior arrangement has been made with management. Unauthorized persons will be asked to leave immediately.
Are there noise restrictions?
Please be considerate to other guests by keeping noise at an acceptable level. Kindly use your discretion.
Are parties or allowed?
No premises, house, or room parties and excessive consumption of alcohol will be allowed.
Is the property affected by load shedding?
Yes. We are affected by load shedding; guests are welcome to use the rechargeable lights in your room and kitchen area.
Is cleaning provided for longer stays?
Yes. Should you stay longer than a week, we will communicate with you on a suitable date to clean your room and change the linen and towels.
What rules apply to the kitchens?
Guests should be considerate of others and leave shared areas as they were found.
Guests must use cutting boards and not cut on countertops. Hot pots or pans may not be placed on countertops. Water must not be left on the floor; spills should be cleaned immediately. No metal objects may be placed in the microwave. Stoves and meals must not be left unattended. All kitchen appliances, dishes, and cutlery used must be washed, dried, and put away.
Where should guests park?
Guests must park only in designated areas and in an orderly manner to allow space for other vehicles.
Is the property child friendly?
Yes. The property is child and family friendly. Guests must take extra care when driving as children may be playing or walking outside.
What time is check out?
Check out is strictly at 10:00 on the day of departure.
Is smoking allowed?
No. This is a smoke free facility. Smoking is not allowed in or near the property.
Can guests wash clothes in the units?
No. Washing clothes in the units is not allowed as it blocks the drains. Laundromats are available within walking distance from our guesthouse.
Is there a washing line?
Yes. Wet clothes or towels may be hung on the washing line in the back garden and should be removed once dry.
Is eating allowed in the rooms?
No. Guests are asked not to eat in rooms or on beds to keep linen white. Meals should be eaten at the dining table in the communal kitchen or in the self-catering unit.
Are open fires allowed?
No. Open fires of any kind, including candles and gas stoves, are not allowed in any room or communal area.
What should guests do if something is damaged or broken?
Guests must inform the owners or management. Damage will be assessed and discussed for replacement.
